{"id":416,"date":"2012-11-23T09:21:00","date_gmt":"2012-11-23T09:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digitalmediacomputing.org.uk\/?p=416"},"modified":"2012-11-23T09:21:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-23T09:21:00","slug":"exploring-the-web","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digitalmediacomputing.org.uk\/?p=416","title":{"rendered":"Exploring the web"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we&#8217;re all feeling a little tired so we&#8217;re taking a break from writing our own web pages and looking at others.<\/p>\n<p>First we looked at <a title=\"Don't Click It\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dontclick.it\/\" target=\"_blank\">Don&#8217;t Click It<\/a>. \u00a0This site is actually Flash rather than HTML but is an experiment in navigating a website without clicking your mouse button. \u00a0This seemed to really confuse everyone!<\/p>\n<p>Next we had a look at <a title=\"The Code Player\" href=\"http:\/\/thecodeplayer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Code Player<\/a>. \u00a0The aim was to find something cool and to right-click and select &#8216;view source&#8217;. \u00a0Very quickly there was a realisation that we can take the code off the pages and try it ourselves in <a title=\"Mozilla Thimble\" href=\"https:\/\/thimble.webmaker.org\/en-US\/\" target=\"_blank\">Thimble<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalmediacomputing.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hyperlinker.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-417\" title=\"Hyperlinker Webmaker badge\" src=\"https:\/\/digitalmediacomputing.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/hyperlinker.png\" alt=\"Hyperlinker Webmaker badge\" width=\"206\" height=\"185\" \/><\/a>A challenge was issued of getting as many of the <a title=\"Webmaker Badges\" href=\"https:\/\/badges.webmaker.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Webmaker badges<\/a> as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we&#8217;re all feeling a little tired so we&#8217;re taking a break from writing our own web pages and looking at others.
